WELCOME
The Warrior’s Journey is a place that MEN OF GOD can discuss thoughts about spiritual warfare and the spiritual journey with Christ Jesus. Please do not assume that anyone knows it all. We don’t! Some of us may have been on the journey longer than others. Others may have had more spiritual battles. Your comments are valuable! What you share may be exactly what another person needs to read. The “Thoughts to Ponder” page will be where I post my thoughts.
HOW TO USE THE PAGES
The pages listed at the RIGHT IN THE BOX under “Spiritual Warfare Pages” are designed to give structure to our discussions. You may want to make a comment about GOD or about your hunting trip in OUTDOOR SPORTS or something about any of the other topics. The page names let those who visit know where to go to look. I have asked permission on each of the pages to quote you in a sermon if the story would be beneficial. Let’s maximize our experiences for the glory of God!
MEET OUR DISCUSSION LEADER
Dr. Ray England, Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Greenville, Kentucky serves as the blog discussion leader. Bro. Ray has been the Pastor of Second Baptist Church since December 1999. He has served as pastor and staff minister of several churches in Kentucky. He has taught seminary extension classes, taught as an instructor at Southern Seminary and as adjunct professor at Campbellsville University. Bro. Ray and his family served four years as Southern Baptist missionaries to the Philippines where he taught in the seminary and served as an administrator while preaching on weekends in local churches.
As Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church, Bro. Ray works with the ministerial staff and lay leadership to guide the total ministries and programs of the church. In addition to his church duties he has served as a pastoral counselor for church members and people in the community. He currently is chaplain for the County Coroner’s office where he works in grief counseling.
Bro. Ray has enjoyed competitive sports all his life. Currently he is going back to the gym and spending more time in outdoor activities.
Bro. Ray and his wife Leslie have three adult daughters — which means they have experienced (good or bad!) most of the stages of child rearing.
Bro. Ray encourages you to make “discussion” the format for this blog. He will join you on the different pages in discussing how the various areas of our lives are impacted by spiritual warfare.
Church recreation has been my life’s ministry. Having served the Lord as a full time Minister of Recreation and Activities for over 40 years I have come to understand that one of lifes great blessings is seeing men, women, youth and children experience God through the use of ones leisure. A desire to help others use recreation as a tool to share Christ and help people grow in their walk with God led to the development of a teaching web site, youthandrecreation.com. Look over the site and see if there is anything in it that would help you and others who view your blog. If you think it is helpful feel free to pass the address on to others and post it on your links. our desire is to help young ministers and laymen become more effective in sharing their faith through recreation and leisure.
Found your site and was impressed with it’s content.
